Evaluation and Use of Brackish Groundwater Resources
Brackish aquifers in Texas can represent a significant and reliable water resource. While these formations are prevalent, typically less is known about their water quality and productive characteristics. Increased planning with respect to well location and construction can pay dividends by maximizing the productive capacity of brackish formations. Critical to the process is a thorough understanding of aquifer hydrogeology in order for operators and service companies to determine availability, sustainability and the expected water quality.
