OSHA has issued a notice extending the public comment period on the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to modify the Hazard Communications Standard by 30 days. The comment period for the proposed rule, published in the Federal Register on February 16, 2021, has been extended to May 19, 2021.
The proposed rulemaking will align HAZCOM with the UN Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling Chemicals (GHS Revision 7). Comments can be submitted through OSHA’s website.
